Every year from late March to early or late April there is a very special flower in Japan called the sakura. The sakura is a tree with blossoms that are white to pink. People in Japan do this thing called a hanami. Hanami is a picnic when the sakura or also known as cherry blossoms come out. So during the day, the parks are filled with people setting down the mat and eating their food. This time I take advantage of and take beautiful photos of the cherry blossoms coming out. When you go to Japan they fill the streets with the so I can take lots of photos of them all lined up and individual ones focused in. All around my apartment there are beautiful photos that I take. I like taking photos of the sakura because they only come out for 1 – 2 weeks. So they are rare and the sakura is very special to Japanese so I can take photos that represent the place I am living in.
