Wildlife in the City

Wildlife in the city sounds very odd. Unless you’re talking about crows and pigeons. When people think of cities what comes to mind is that it is busy noisy stressful and no wildlife. Recently I found out this tiny sanctuary for birds inside the middle of Tokyo. When I found it our I immediately rushed to my mom and shouted, “let’s go to this bird sanctuary.” I convinced her right away. So a few days after that, we went and we saw a whole range of birds, including a stray cat. The place had many bird hides so we would sit in the wait and see any birds fly by. It felt as if I just went to Africa! We saw a lot of ducks but we also saw a few cranes and herons fly by which was really cool. We also saw a hawk. This place was surrounded by a big factory and freeways but once I got into the bird hide I heard nothing it was a magical place turning this small area into making you think you are far from home. In the end, I really liked the place especially being really close to where I live. I always complain I want to live somewhere else because cities have no wildlife but I just learned that if you look deep you can find the place you want to be.
